Trust is built through transparency and responsible stewardship.

At the Youth Human Rights Network, we believe that transparent and responsible financial management is essential to maintaining the trust of the young people, communities, partners, and donors who make our work possible.

Each year, our financial reports are reviewed and approved by our Board of Directors and audited by an independent external firm, as part of our commitment to accountability and the responsible management of the resources entrusted to us.

Our resources are primarily invested in programs and projects that create opportunities, strengthen capacities, and contribute to the realization of the human rights of children and young people

Below, we present RJDH’s main sources of funding and how our resources were used during the immediately preceding fiscal year, as part of our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible impact.

RJDH has a governance structure designed to promote youth participation, collective decision-making, transparency, and effective institutional oversight. As a youth-led organization, we seek to ensure that our members across different territories have meaningful opportunities to contribute to the priorities and decisions that shape our work.

The Board provides strategic guidance, oversees organizational management, and helps ensure compliance with RJDH’s objectives, principles, and institutional responsibilities.

The Board of Directors is responsible for RJDH’s strategic direction and institutional oversight. It is composed of four positions

President

Name: Laura Gómez

Position: President

Professional Profile or Experience: Experience in youth leadership, human rights, and social and community initiatives.

Role on the Board: Chairs the Board of Directors, provides strategic guidance, and represents RJDH institutionally.

Vice President

Name: Selena Nichoy

Professional Profile or Experience: Experience in youth participation, community engagement, and social processes.

Role on the Board: Supports the President, contributes to strategic guidance, and assumes the President’s responsibilities when required.

Secretary

Name: Ángela De La Cruz

Professional Profile or Experience: Experience in organizational processes, youth participation, administration, and documentation.

Role on the Board: Supports documentation and record-keeping, maintains the Board’s decisions and facilitates communication among its members

Treasurer

Name: Vanessa Higidio

Professional Profile or Experience: Experience or knowledge in financial management, resource administration, and institutional transparency.

Role on the Board: Oversees financial management, contributes to budget monitoring, and promotes the responsible and transparent use of organizational resources

At the Youth Human Rights Network, we believe that a responsible organization needs clear policies to guide its actions, protect the people it works with, and promote transparent, ethical, and inclusive management.
