🌿 Story 4 – “I Understood That Care Can Also Create Change”

CARES – Community Action for Resilience, Equality and Sustainability
“In my community, we have always cared for other people and for our territory. For a long time, however, I thought these responsibilities were simply part of everyday life and that no one really noticed them.
Taking part in the project helped me understand that care is also connected to climate change, human rights, and the way we build our communities. As the environment changes, the responsibilities and needs of families also change, and women and communities often carry a greater share of this burden.
We began talking about these realities and looking for collective solutions. For me, the most important realization was that care is not only about helping others—it is also a way of building justice and transforming our communities.
Today, I see the knowledge and efforts within our territory differently. I know that when we care for one another, we are also building a different future.”
